The Church of South India (CSI) Women's Fellowship unites women in prayer, service, and witness, empowering them to become leaders within their families, church, and society. Guided by the motto "Arise and Shine," it focuses on spiritual growth, community outreach, and advocating for the marginalized.
Objectives
The core objectives of the fellowship include:
(a) Spiritual Development : To unite members in prayer and Bible study, motivating them to set an example of true Christian living and deeper spiritual growth.
(b) Family Nurture: To uphold the sanctity of Christian marriage and support mothers in the Christian upbringing and education of their children.
(c) Leadership Training: To train women of all ages for active participation and leadership within the church, encouraging younger women to take part in church programs.
(d) Social Action and Outreach: To serve the underprivileged, visit the sick, elderly, and lonely, and promote justice and awareness for the oppressed.
Local parish units (such as those in and around the Ernakulam/Kochi region) actively fulfil these goals through regular cottage prayers, retreats, charitable activities (like financial assistance for marriages and medical treatments), and the observance of special days like Women's Sunday.
Activities
We as the WF of Immanuel Cathedral have regular meetings in our Church.
(a) We have a regular Bible study conducted online on Wednesday at 10am. This is lead by our Vicar.
(b) Fridays are days for Fasting Prayer, retreat and a monthly meeting, house visits and online prayers
(c) We organize activities such as Christmas bake sales and charity sales to support our outreach programs, with the aim of extending a helping hand to the underprivileged and less fortunate members of society.
