Vision

The vision of establishing a Men’s Fellowship in CSI Immanuel Cathedral was first conceived by our former Vicar, Rev. John Joseph. The primary objective was to provide a platform for men aged 35 years and above to continue their fellowship, spiritual growth, and active participation in the life and mission of the Church after completing their years of service in the Youth Fellowship.
The soft launch of the Men’s Fellowship was held in December 2025, marking the beginning of an organized effort to bring together the men of the parish for Christian fellowship, leadership, service, and mutual support. The fellowship seeks to encourage members to remain actively engaged in parish life while contributing their experience, talents, and resources for the growth of the Church and the welfare of society.

Objectives

The objectives of the Association are:

  1. To promote Christian fellowship among men of the parish by creating opportunities for spiritual, social, and community interactions.
  2. To strengthen the spiritual life of members through prayer, Bible study, retreats, seminars, and other faith-building activities.
  3. To provide a continuing fellowship for members who have completed their service in the Youth Fellowship, enabling them to remain actively involved in the life and mission of the Church.
  4. To encourage active participation in parish ministries and activities, fostering a spirit of stewardship, responsibility, and leadership.
  5. To develop Christian leadership among men and prepare members to take up responsibilities within the parish, diocesan organizations, and the wider Church.
  6. To undertake charitable and social welfare initiatives, extending support to the poor, sick, elderly, and other deserving members of society.
  7. To support and strengthen the mission and outreach activities of CSI Immanuel Cathedral, working in collaboration with other parish organizations.
  8. To promote unity, mutual care, and brotherhood among members, encouraging a spirit of cooperation and fellowship within the parish family.
  9. To provide assistance during parish events and special projects, contributing to the smooth conduct of church programs and celebrations.
  10. To encourage family values and Christian witness, helping members become positive role models in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
  11. To coordinate with the CSI Cochin Diocese and other parish Men's Associations in implementing diocesan programs and initiatives.
  12. To create opportunities for members to use their professional expertise, experience, and resources for the benefit of the Church and the community.
  13. To foster a culture of service, compassion, and social responsibility, reflecting the love and teachings of Jesus Christ in practical ways.
  14. To establish a strong and sustainable organization that will contribute to the long-term spiritual, social, and administrative growth of CSI Immanuel Cathedral, Ernakulam.

Activities

Activities Undertaken:

Although still in its formative stage, the fellowship has already undertaken several meaningful initiatives, including:

  • Installation of the Christmas Big Star, contributing to the festive celebrations of the Cathedral.
  • Financial assistance towards the Ernakulam Palliative Care Unit as part of its commitment to social responsibility and compassionate outreach.
  • Presentation of farewell gifts to Rev. John Joseph and family in appreciation of their dedicated pastoral leadership and guidance.
  • Presentation of a farewell gift to Rev. Varghese Joseph in recognition of his valuable service and association with the parish.

In line with the CSI Cochin Diocese’s initiative to establish Men’s Associations in all parishes, membership registration was commenced at CSI Immanuel Cathedral. The Association is presently awaiting the official announcement, constitution, and by-laws from the Diocese. Upon receiving diocesan approval and guidelines, the election of office bearers and committee members will be conducted, enabling the Association to function as a fully constituted body within the parish.

The Cathedral Association of Men looks forward to welcoming more members and fostering a vibrant fellowship dedicated to Christian witness, service, stewardship, and the strengthening of our parish community.
